What is the Price of Immortality?

November 19, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

If you could, would you choose to live forever?

With advancements in stem cell technology, gene therapies, and artificial intelligence to name a few, humanity’s quest of eternal life seems now to only be a question of “when?”

But is this scenario as idyllic as it initially sounds? What would the implications of immortality be? Ultimately, would the value of life itself be lost?

Transhumanism (the philosophical movement for the enhancement of the human condition) aims to answer these questions.

So join University College London Ethics of Life Department on 19th November, as we welcome Kate Levchuk, transhumanist leader & Founder of Transpire, who will discuss these pressing issues in a talk not to be missed!
